Ian Larson joined Menna Development and Management (MDM) in 2011 to oversee the St. Petersburg Marriott Clearwater as General Manager. Later, he became Area General Manager and then Vice President, and in 2017 was appointed Senior Vice President of the company. In his current role, Mr. Larson’s responsibilities include the development and management of not only hotels, but various other commercial development projects as well.

His successful career includes positions with Stouffer Hotels and Resorts, Renaissance Hotels and Resorts, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, and most recently Quorum Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Larson’s assignments have included prestigious hotels from coast to coast — Seattle to Atlanta — from Full Service luxury resorts properties to Select Service and Extended Stay properties.

Over the years, he has held management positions at notable hotels including:

♦  Quorum Hotel, Tampa

♦  Marriott St. Petersburg, Clearwater

With an extensive background in hotel operations, Mr. Larson has also provided consultation and task force assistance for hotels such as the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel and Casino, the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in Denver, the Hilton Mesa Hotel (Phoenix) and the Sheraton Pleasanton Hotel (CA). His experience and relationships include working with brands such as Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Intercontinental and Radisson Hotels.

Mr. Larson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Washington in Marketing and International Business. He currently is involved with organizations such as the Marriott Business Council for Tampa / St. Petersburg, Visit Tampa Bay, Visit St. Pete Clearwater, the Westshore Alliance in Tampa, various local Chambers of Commerce, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Pinellas County Chapter.
