Aminie Mohip serves as Menna Development & Management, Inc.’s General
Counsel and Director of Development. Ms. Mohip has spent the past 25 years in
the legal profession with a focus on real estate. She started her career as a
Legal Assistant in the Real Estate Department of Holland & Knight. For the
past 17 years she has been an Attorney in private practice. She was a partner
in the Williams, Schifino Law Firm in Tampa, Florida, prior to founding her own
firm in 2000 and then going in-house with two different developers that specialized
in condominium/townehomes and retail development, respectively. She has also worked
on a variety of business/corporate matters, and worked as co-counsel with Schifino
& Fleischer, P.A. (Tampa, FL), on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate/securities
matters.
As an Attorney Ms. Mohip has been involved in every aspect of commercial real
estate transactions and commercial development. Additionally, she has a very strong
background in business and corporate matters, including, employment and business
entities related matters. Ms. Mohip has also acted as outside counsel for several
national and local lenders. Ms. Mohip’s focus has been on the development
of hotels, office buildings, retail centers, marinas, condominiums and townehomes.
She has taken projects from site selection, due diligence, acquisition and construction
to operations. Her immense experience and background in contract negotiations,
real estate law, construction law, land-use, environmental, lending and business/corporate
matters has been an invaluable asset to MDM during its very active development
phase. Ms. Mohip’s ability to work with all of the members of the MDM team
on a project from inception to operation provides MDM a seamless process that
is both efficient and profitable.
Ms. Mohip graduated in 1982 with her Bachelor’s Degree, with honors, from
the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. In 1983, she received her Legal
Assistance Certification from the National Center for Paralegal Training, Atlanta,
Georgia. In 1991, she received her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Florida
State University, College of Law, Tallahassee, Florida. Ms. Mohip is a licensed
Florida lawyer, a certified mediator and also holds a State of Florida Real Estate
Salesman’s license.
